Autumn and Winter colours 2014 / 2015
2014-09-01 - At Counting Flowers we are definately not looking forward to Autumn! We feel that summer was too short. No fun at all having to deal with such heavy rain showers and low temperatures in August. The good thing is that Autumn doesn't just bring wet weather and cold. It is also the time of new colours and new trends.
According to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute "this is a season of untypical colours - more reflective of the imagination and ingenuity, which makes for an artful collection of colours and combinations not bound by the usual hues for fall".
Reds
The coming season we will see two beautiful shades of red. Sangria, an exotic red, and Aurora Red, a more sophisticated shade that adds verve and spark.
Purples
We are happy to see purple is here to stay! Mauve Mist is a romantic and elegant purple shade, while Radiant Orchid is a captivating and adaptable shade.
Naturals
More traditional autumn colours can be found in Cypress, a majestic and powerful green, Cognac, a classy and cultured brown, Aluminium, a futuristic stainless steel shade, and Misted Yellow, which adds a ray of sunlight and warmth.
Blues
Last but not least, Bright Cobalt and Royal Blue unify this season's blues, offering a subtle twist on the traditional cobalt blue and navy blue.
