2015-01-09 - Last year Dutch fashion label Humanoid asked us to make the wraps for their spring/summer 2015 collection. The signature wrap has been a staple from the start of this label that values high quality and the use of luxury natural fibres.

Humanoid’s identity can be summarised as expressive, creative, authentic, but always functional and contemporary. Qualities that can be found in each and every collection since the start of the brand in 1981. So it makes much sense that Humanoid chose the work of the artisans from Sabahar, a Fairtrade organisation in Ethiopia.

The weavers were able to translate the label's designs into different batches of beautiful scarves. Each piece has been created by hand. From the spinning of the cotton, the reeling of the silk and the mixing of the dye all the way to the weaving and the finishing of the wrap.

All cotton and silk used to make Humanoid's wraps is locally sourced. Both the artisans and the local farmers involved received a fair price for their products.
