The organisation works together with villagers and farmers from Amoron’i Mania, a province in the south of the island, where the largest Tapia forests are located.

Wild silk

Silk comes in different varieties. An important difference between common (mulberry) silk and wild silk is that the mulberry silkworms are reared on silk farms, whereas wild silk is harvested from cocoons from butterflies living in the wild.
