Home-grown cotton and natural dye form the base of this fabulous scarf. Artisans from the island of Sabu in the east of Indonesia are involved in every step of the process. The cotton is home-grown, and spun by hand. Then the cotton is dyed with natural ingredients found on the island. The scarf is handwoven on traditional looms. The artisans used the elaborate ikat technique to create the island specific pattern.
