This lovely shawl is made from delicate Ethiopian cotton. The stripes are created by combining grey cotton and undyed cotton.
The shawl is handwoven by artisans form little villages around Addis Ababa. They are working with Sabahar, a local Fair Trade organisation.
Sabahar buys its cotton from local farmers, paying them a fair price.
