Scarf trend: new autumn and winter colours 2013/2014
2013-07-22 - The sun is shining bright and the holiday season has finally started. Not many people will show interest in the coming cooler months. Shops however are already filling up with new winter collections. Reason enough to present you with an overview of the new trends and colours.
From the fashion shows in Paris, New York, London and Milan we learn that it will be all about contrast this autumn and winter. Masculine and feminine, powerful and vulnerable, extravagant and sober, past and present. A scarf is the perfect accessory to play with these contrasts: scarves from tough looking yak wool to soft and lustrous silk.
Contrast can also be found in the new autumn and winter colours. We will see strong and unusual colour combinations.
The following colours will hit the streets next season [from Pantone color report fall 2013]:
Emerald green, elegant and classic
Linden green, a soft green tone with a touch of yellow
Mykonos blue, timeless and relaxed
Acai, a deep purple that perfectly combines with emerald
Samba red, for a touch of drama
Koi orange, a warm shade of burnt orange
Deep lichen green, a touch of nature
Vivacious fuchsia, dare to wear with lichen green
Carafe brown, the new black
Turbulence grey, a beautiful dark grey basic
